About Us

VPI Technology is a multi-discipline engineering and product development firm specializing in custom electronic design, embedded systems, and hardware and firmware development. As a product development partner, we support projects from early concept through prototyping and production, offering full-turnkey or targeted engineering support at any stage.
We assemble our in-house design engineering staff into teams of experts in a wide range of disciplines, who perform high-quality product realization using electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and manufacturing engineering.
We specialize in new product development for cutting-edge technologies and innovative products, including connected devices (wireless design and IoT), embedded technology, consumer electronics, RF/wireless design, medical device design, and government and military programs.

VPI’s laboratory division supports product development teams by providing EMC and wireless pre-compliance scans that help identify potential regulatory issues early in the design process. Our lab focuses on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and design guidance that reduces risk before products are submitted to accredited third-party certification labs.
By uncovering EMI, EMC, and wireless performance challenges early, VPI helps clients minimize costly redesigns, avoid delays, and move into FCC, CE, and other regulatory certification testing with greater confidence.
Domestic low-volume manufacturing through VPI is conducted at our manufacturing facility in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. We also source, kit, and coordinate manufacturing with offshore manufacturing facilities for high-volume assembly. In such cases, we manage the manufacturing process and ensure quality production.
Our initials, VPI, stand for Visionary Products Inc. This name is representative of the work we do for our clients – we strive to provide visionary design and engineering services for your products, projects, and programs.
