Wanship Testing Site
Nestled in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains approximately 30 miles east of Salt Lake City is VPI Laboratories Wanship open area test site. There are two fully enclosed testing facilities designed for testing of equipment at distances of 3 and 10 meters. The fully enclosed testing facilities are covered by a fiberglass building. There are no metal obstructions above the reference ground plane to ensure low RF reflection. The ground plane is solid metal with continuous welds at each seam. Control and measurement equipment are located in a screened room below the ground plane. An automated metal turntable is provided which is mounted flush with the ground plane. The turntable is 12 feet in diameter and has a load rating of 4000 lbs. A map to the facility can be downloaded below.
VPI Laboratories test facility is equipped to perform testing to a wide variety of commercial EMC standards. VPI Labs has the capability to perform conducted emissions testing in the frequency range of 30 Hz to 30 MHz and radiated emissions testing in the range of 9 kHz to 40 GHz.
VPI Laboratories EMC test facility is in compliance with all the current national and international requirements and is accredited by the US National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) (Lab Code: 100272) under Electromagnetic Compatibility and Telecommunications.
