VPI Manufacturing

Would you rather work with a company here, in the United States, where you can easily interact with them in person, or with a manufacturer in another country?

We have been providing assembly and manufacturing services in the Salt Lake City, Utah area since 2003. Our technicians are well trained and have assembled a wide variety of products.

We offer manufacturing as part of our full electronics design capabilities, which also include engineering, PCB design, certification and testing, and strategic sourcing.

When you're ready to put all of the pieces together and manufacture a product or system, let us take care of the process for you. Tell us how many units you want to produce and when you need them, and we will work to meet your production quantities and deadlines.

VPI Manufacturing strives for excellence in Electronics Assembly by employing technicians who are qualified and certified. Our electronic assembly technician is IPC J-STD-001 Solder Technician Standard certified. "The IPC J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies has emerged as the preeminent authority for electronics assembly manufacturing. The standard describes materials, methods and verification criteria for producing high quality soldered interconnections. The standard emphasizes process control and sets industry-consensus requirements for a broad range of electronic products." - IPC.org

Benefits of Outsourcing Your Manufacturing

Manufacturing requires personnel, space, logistics management, and equipment. Putting that all together can be expensive and time consuming, but with VPI, we take care of all of that, so you can focus on growing your business.

We manufacture low-volume, highly complex products in house and we've forged relationships with reliable international manufacturing operations for high-volume manufacturing.

We use state-of-the-art production practices, implement strict quality assurance controls, and provide you with documentation that will ensure production traceability for your project.

Inexperienced companies can be in for a real surprise the first time they try to manage manufacturing outside of the U.S. Communicating over the language barrier can be difficult. Manufacturers can steal their IP. Production practices may not be up to par.

We've forged relationships with offshore manufacturers and know how the system works. We handle overall project management, engineering coordination, production control, quality assurance, and logistics. We select manufacturing facilities from our extensive sourcing network that are qualified to meet the quality, pricing, and delivery dates that you require.

Unlike some design companies that require you to use them for manufacturing after the design is done, VPI’s manufacturing services are an optional service. You will receive the full design files from us at the end of the design process, which will enable you to choose your manufacturing partner. Many of our customers choose VPI because we are very good at optimizing cost and quality, and taking away the headache of managing manufacturing operations on your own.
